The rise of artificial intelligence tools and agents expose longstanding gaps in understanding where sensitive data resides and who can access it, said Dan Benjamin, vice president of product management at Palo Alto Networks.

Organizations face growing pressure to secure data across fragmented environments as AI expands data risks and governance challenges, Benjamin said. AI compounds the challenge by introducing new actors and expanding datasets across cloud, SaaS and internal systems.
